Does anyone use potassium acetate to precipitate protein? - or other acetate (Mar/17/2010 )

Hi. I found that using salt and potassium acetate is fast and efficient to concentrate my protein samples. These solutions are usually used in DNA extraction.
These proteins samples are good and nice for SDS-PAGE and Western. But the problem is that these precipitate are not soluble in most buffers.
Does anybody used these solutions and succeed to solubilize the precipitates? My samples are really precious. I don't waste them.
Thank you in advance.

I used aceton last time to precipitate protein and re-add less RIPA to have higher conc. It worked fine for me.
