proteomic study - (Jan/26/2010 )

Dear all,

I would like to khow about the duration of proteomic study. If I culture the bacteria into two condition and run 2-D gel untill I get the spot of protein. How long do I have to spend the time ? I'm a new one in this area. So, everyone can suggest or recommend me, please.

From start to finish it will be several days, though there will be lots of time waiting for the bacteria to grow and gels to run etc.
