Molecular biology and biochemistry
Hi cetok,
Don't be frustrated. Everyone experiences the same when he or she first enters a biology lab. It takes time to learn. To begin with, I would suggest that you:
find someone who can teach you basic molecular biology skills, by first observing while he or she is working and then trying your hands while he or she is watching.
have some good protocol books with you such as molecular cloning, the red protocol book, to know not only how to do a thing, but also why it should be done that way.
use the internet wisely.
good luck.

I agree with Hula.
I think training is very important. Your initial training may influence your entire research career. There is something you cannot learn from books or from practising.
