Masters in Microbiology - (Mar/23/2009 )

What are some of the recommended places to knock doors at?

Do all Univs in US need TOEFL and GRE for admission to Masters?

I am wondering...

Why are you doing master after PhD?

:D That was not for me but for a fren who is looking to join Masters in Micro as soon as she can. She needs someone to guide her and until everyone comes from vacation, I am the only one around :)

Can't imagine why a person already in a program would take the GRE - except perhaps for admission to PhD program.

nope. she was in a ba-ma program (earn both ba and ma at the same time, pretty exclusive program) and they told her to take the gre (after 2 or 3 years, i think, certainly not before or when she entered the program). we were all surprised when the demand came from the administration.

I already had a masters before I started the graduate program in the US. Although I had the degree the university had the requirement that every new student has to do the GRE and the TOEFL test (if foreign) no matter what. I got some credits for some courses from my former degree but that was about it.

Cheers!
