What do you guys eat for lunches? - I need some food for helping me out with memory (Aug/09/2010 )
Hi all
I know this may sound absurd and random, but I would like to know what I can eat during lunch times so that I can perform better in consolidating memories when I read scientific papers. Specifially, I think I need food that enhances my concentration. I would think avoiding carbs would help me get less sleepy....
I might just get fruits and vegs for lunch today.
Thanks guys
Cheers

PS: *runs to supermarket to get the freshest fruits now* >_<
have a look here or come to 'words' thread. Food is what we so much love talking about.
I've found that pasta and similar types of food make me all sleepy. I avoid it if I need to do some headwork.
I try to eat something light for lunch. But then, I will munch on peanuts or almonds to help me concentrate.
I also find that taking notes while you read is helpful.
Take coffee or coke. Eat fruits, and take some B-complex. Or, just drink 7-up revive or 100plus.
That's my way.
Or you can try a Malaysian's herbal beverage known as "tongkat Ali". It works for me too...

I believe tongkat ali is an herbal medicine which is now used as an addition to a lot of food supplements.
And, studies revealed that it improves a man's sexual performance! Hmmm... maybe it has a specific component that makes you feel less sleepy...
