Ice-cold EtOH - really needed? (Sep/08/2005 )

In EtOH-precipition, does the added EtOH really has to be ice-cold? I mean, you put it in the freezer afterwards?

honnestly i've not see a big difference between ice cold and RT ethanol. But for case sensitive exp, i let the etoh at -80° for 30'. Works better.
