The re-extraction step I was thinking about it is the same you mentioned.

I think that is risky to perform a DNase digestion in cellular lysates because in this extracts the endongenous RNase is in mixture with RNA, and I guess is not inactivated.
Do you asses the integrity of your RNA afer digestion-extraction in an agarose gel?
