Yeast Fluorescent Proteins - Yeast Fluorescent Proteins (Aug/15/2005 )

Hi there. I'm attempting to create a fluroescent fusion protein to track my protein of interest in yeast. I was wondering if anyone knows the difference in sequence for GFP for expression in yeast vs. mammalian cells. I know, for example, that qbiogene has a codon optimized version for expression in yeast. I was wondering if there are any yeast experts out there that know why you use one fluorescent coding sequence vs. another. Many thanks....I'm attempting to move from the mammalian world to yeast and it's been a tough journey.
