gel purification - (Aug/08/2005 )

I am purifying a large volume of PCR products (400ul) but the well will only take 100ul has anyone vaccuum dried the PCR product down prior to runing on the purification gel? Would it damge the DNA?

Just ethanol precipitate it down and resuspend in 40µl of 1x loading buffer. This will be much quicker and the PCR bands will run much better too.
