i just want to ask what strategy or technique or protocol can i use to identify and characterize a transcription factor that binds to a certain dna template.

Hi

For ur transcription factor studies u can use Gel MOBILITY ASSAY or S1 nuclease assay. Which shows u where ur transcription factor bind to the DNA then u can exclude it from the gel and sequence it.

I would like to know, how can I excise the piece of gel for protein sequencing when using radioactive-DNA probe? Thanks!
