Collagen - How to quantify collagen? (May/17/2002 )

Does anybody know a method to make structured collagen soluble so that we can use the Sircol Assay to quantify it? I think Mark have the same problem, is there an answer?

You have touched on the most difficult of protein quantitation problems. The best way to quantitate collagen is to use a silver binding assay-works well for us. This is an unpublished protocol that we have used conveniently. Write to me if you wish to know more
