Can I separate these 2 large DNA bands? - (Jul/29/2005 )

I would like to be able to distinguish between a 7000 bp and an 7195 bp DNA band obtained by a long-range PCR. Do you think if it is possible? I need to purify these fragments for cloning in a vector.

That is only a 2.5% difference in size! Why don't you try cloning both and then screen for the correct insert as you are going to have to do this anyway
