how to find transcription transcription start site in a sequence?
Does anybody know how to find transcription start site from the gene

The only way to know your transcription start site is to map the full length 5'end of the mRNA.

Hi Ladybird,

Do you mean you want to determine transcription start stie (TSS) for a gene by experimentation or to find TSS in a known sequence.

If it is the former, you can do 5' RACE or Primer extension to determine where a transcript start.

If it is the latter, check your gene in a genome database such as UCSC and Ensembl. In most case, the predicted TSS is accurate.
