Large scale purification of large size plasmid - (Jul/26/2005 )

What is the best way to purify big plasmid (~40kb)? I tried midi prep from QIAGEN it doesn't work for me.

alkaline lysis method should be efficient. Problem in kits is that they do not release efficiently the large sized DNA.
