Primary Cell Culture - Tips for PHK culture (Jul/19/2005 )

Hey Guys

I am new to primary cell culture, I am more comfortable with transformed cell lines, so I would appreciate any tips and advice, also could you recommend any sites or publications that deal with culturing primary cells, I am currently using comercially purchased primary human keratinoctes.

I have already discovered; very slow growth, finite life span (max 8 passages), do not trypsinise at 37oC. I have just read to do all my freeze prep on ice....
