Separating defosforylated DNA? - (Jul/13/2005 )

Hi,

My virus cloning protocol says I need to separate the defosforylated insert vector from the non-defosforylated. I've tried long 0,85 % agarose gel (the size is about 11 kb) with 2,5 V/cm. No luck. Any suggestions appreciated.

i've never tried separating dephosphorylated product from non dephosphorylated... And i relly doubt that's so easy possible...
