Pilot-problems - (Jul/06/2005 )

i just changed from bacteriomatch I to bacteriomatch II, because it didn`t work. Now I have the problem that even on the Pilot the positive control doesn`t grow on selective medium. It does grow on nonselective and on all other media with the appropriate antibiotics.
Does anybody know a solution for thath problem. I already contacted stratagene and they couldn`t help.

I spent most of my post doc trying to do work that f... kit
(the II version, known to be much more efficient and so on...)

At last I now think that Stratagene let us do the quality control tests and improvement without any considerations of the troubles we get with their products.

For me too the pilot did not work, they sent me a new batch of plasmid and it worked.
Despite a double screen with more than two time the concentration required all my clones are fall positives.
