Dynabeads and SDS-PAGE - (Jun/16/2005 )
I used inactivated M-450 epoxy dynabeads to isolate glomeruli. It was very successful.
However, I wonder if the beads will cause any problems when I want to use the same sample to run SDS-page and western blotting?
Anyone has any similar experience in this? Please help!! Thanks

Bound proteins are released from the beads when boiling (95 degrees C) for 5 min in SDS PAGE samlpe loading buffer. Place the sample on a magnet before applying the bead free eluate to the gel. Some beads might carry over, but they will not enter the gel, and they will not stick to the blotting membrane either.
