Ten amino acid signal peptide - cloning (Jun/09/2005 )

Hi,
Can enybody tell me a signal peptide less than 10 amino acid. I want to clone IL-18 which has no signal peptide of its own.

what is the signal peptide for? nuclear localization? secretion signal? chloroplast translocalization signal?

Once I searched on pubmed and found that there are many signal sequences, and there was also artificial signal peptides which is, in fact, a combination of signals that have high efficiency!
