DNA yield from Frozen blood - DNA extraction from frozen humna blood (Jun/07/2005 )

Is there a problem in extracting DNA from frozen whole blood stored at -20C.I have used sodium citrate as the anticoagulant. I would like to use the Ethanol-Salt precipitation method for the DNA extraction. Will this lead to any problems in the DNA yield, if yes how much of a reduction am I looking at. Is there a better protocol for exytracting DNA from Frozen whole blood.
Thanks

I use Qiamp blood mini kit from qiagen and it works well for my samples stored at -20°C; I use EDTA as the anticoagulant, I didn't tried the sodium citrate but I dont think that this is a problem.......

bye bye!
