Do I need to purify the sample after de-crosslinking it? I did it before, but now think about it - Not really necessary, because the proteins shouldn't show up in my agarose gel. Is it correct?

no, proteins will still be aroound.

perform standard phenol chlorofom isolation of DNA after decross linking as if you don't it may inhibit downstream experiments.
