Maximum copy number in Taqman - (Apr/26/2005 )
I have been using the Taqman Universal Mastermix for some time and never had any problems. However, since starting with a new set of samples it appears that I may have reached a 'maximum threshold' level for accurate copy number determination as when I dilute the samples I still get roughly the same copy number.
Does anyone know if there is a maximum copy number/minimum CT that can accurately be measured and if so what it is???

The threshold should not be more than a half of your logarith scale. If the plateau values are 4000 to 15000 fluorescent units, a threshold of 300 fluorescent units usually works well.
