posible new gene - (Apr/15/2005 )

Hi,

I got a new cDNA fragment from Yeast-2-Hybrid result and I have problem to get the 5' terminal full length even after trying 5'RACE. Also there are 20 A in the middle of the sequence just like a polyA tail, is this normal in a gene to have many As? Thank you for any suggestion.

no its not normal and it's possible that it's actually a poly A signal.

I forgot how they make cDNA libraries but I think that it is common to pull up incomplete cDNAs for genes.
