March of Dimes Research Grant - request for experiences and sample applications (Apr/04/2005 )
Hi all,
We are in the process of submitting a grant proposal and it would be nice if people can share their experiences with applying to the March of Dimes. Also if you were sucessful with your application, could be be able to look at it to see the style and way it was written to make it successful.
I am a virgin grant writer so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
Nick
Hi , do not know much abt those grants- but have been pretty successful with bagging 2 national grants. The idea is you make the commitee realise "how importnt your work will be "
in the aim. You should be quite forceful about that.Your (and your teams) past knowledge and papers on the subject is an addl bonus....How well you compile your review and point it towards the importance of your work...matters....you should feel that the work that you want to do is going to make a difference in the scientific world...then you'll write powerfully enough........pray - the author of life will help you!
