How to detect if two SNPs are at one allele or at two alleles? - (Mar/31/2005 )
How can I detect if two SNPs are at one allele or at two alleles?

if they are close to each other then clone the fragment into a bacteria using eg teh topo kit and sequence some of the positive clones. Since only one of your alleles are to be found in each positive clone then it is easy to determine if the SNPs are on the same allele or on two different.

Thanks! I already used this way to detect them.
