Triton-100X is the same as 100%. Does it also mean that if a solution is 50X then it is 50%? How come?

It's Triton-X100... the number is not a reference to concentration... after all there is Triton-X114...
So the X and the 100 are only the name of the product.

If you want a 2% solution you take 2ml in 100ml final, like any other product.

50x does not mean 50%,
50 x means 50 times what is concidered normal for use.
In the case of Triton, it does not tell anything about the conc.
