Triglyceride measurement - Triglyceride measurement (Mar/23/2005 )

Hello everybody,
I´m trying to quantify triglycerides disolved in isopropanol after liver homogenization (Tris, NaCl, Tritón X-100 and Na DOC) and extraction with the Folch method. The diluent (isopropanol) affects the colorimetric test.
Does anyone know another diluent that do not interference with the classic measurement methods (Infinity, Thermo. Based on the method of Wako)?
Could anyone send me a more appropiate protocol for the extraction and dilution of triglycerides?
Answering any of this two questions will help me a lot. THANK YOU.

You can evaporate Isopropanol under vacuum and dissolve the residue in Ethanol.

From my protocol for liver:
Evaporate the solvent using eppendorf vacufuge
Re-suspend the lipid extract in 500 microliter of 95% EtOH.
Use 10microliter of the suspension for TG determination with RANDOX Kit triglycerides GPO-PAP kit.
