temarature sensitivity of RNA - mRNA is heat sensitive but (Mar/01/2005 )

mRNA is heat sensitive but how RT-PCR is performed to get cDNA by using mRNA.how musc temparature is maintained in order to avoid denature mRNA..

the RT reaction is performed (usually) at 42°C which is not harmful to RNA. I know that RNA is hydrolysed in a ion-dependent manner at 70°C, but this temperature is not reached in standard RT reactions. The PCR follwing the RT uses cDNA as template which is heat stable.
