neonatal rat cardiomyocytes - protocol (Feb/28/2005 )

Hi!

J want to culture cardiomyocytes isolated from heart of neonatal rat. J have no experiences with these cells and there is so many protocols how to isolated and culture cardiomyocytes. Maybe someone have experience with these cells and could help me? What kind of medium , flask of plates, serum and etc. J should use?

i'm doing my phd in an eminent institute
my work basically rely on this
i too have a problem i can able to isolate cardiomyocytes without
contamination. But i dont know how to prove this is cardiomyocytes
i cant even see the cells beating
if you find some protocol related to isolation it will be very help full for me
