protocol for immunoprecipitation of bacterial proteins - (Jan/11/2005 )

Hallo! I'm searching a good immunoprecipitation protocol for bacterial protein complexes. Can anibody help me?

I successfully used a commercially available protein-A/agarose Ip kit, together with polyclonal serum from an immunised animal for Ip of a bacterial protein. I think all the available kits should work equally well, if your antibody is good.

do you think I can co-precipitate a protein complex with this commercial Ip kit?

The signal was quite specific, but as I said, the antibody/serum has to be good. I did't try co-immunoprecipitation, though. But I would think this could work, too.
