immunohistochemistry protocol - problems with staining (Nov/17/2004 )

hi fellow neuroscientists,

i have been having a problem with a particular immunostaining of rat brain sections. I have been told that using heparin in a staining can sometimes be helpful. Can anyone tell me why and/or how this would work and how to use it?
