culturing fibroblasts - how to get them from human source (Jan/08/2009 )

Hi all,
I would like to grow human fibroblasts for immunofluorescence. What would the easiest way to get some cells from a very sick human child:( to initiate the culture? And how long would it take to get confluency? Or alternatively, how long would it take before i can grow them on coverslips?

I have generally seen human fibroblasts that are derived from foreskin.

I don't know whether that is how it is derived clinically too. Obviously, it needs a male child without circumcision for foreskin biopsy.

Just mentioning this. Do not take it as an answer to your question. And let us know if you find the real answer.
