secondary Ab for immunofluorescent staining - secondary Ab designed for WB was used for IHC (Jan/05/2009 )

Hi, if any one has tried to use a fluorescent secondary Ab which is designed for WB in immunofluorescent staining?

I have PA 45011 from Amersham, which is a Cy5 conjugated secondary antibody. Can I use it in the tissue staining? Does it work? Would it work?

Very hard to say in our lab we tested lot's of Ab's for HIC stainings but some of them don't like the treatment that the sample receive before the Antibody incubations so the best is to give it a try
