microsatellite (SSR): Agarose gel vs polyacrylamide gel. - (Dec/23/2008 )

I'm doing SSRs marker. Can i use 2% agarose gel to detect DNA fragments or i have to use polyacrylamide (PAA).

if ur difference in microsatellites is more say 10-11 bp u can use 3% agarose. But if it is less go for PAGE. otherwise metaphor gel is also good. but in pAGE the difference and ease to score is worth doing.
