Composition of DNA wash buffer - What's in there? (Dec/16/2008 )

Hey,

I believe most of us have used the kit available nowadays to purify DNA. Just wondering sometimes.. what could be the composition of the wash buffer. They always come in concentrated and ask us to add fixed volume of absolute ethanol.

But what's in the concentration solution??


Any idea?

10 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.5, 80% EtOH
