Validation of MicroRNA array results - (Nov/25/2008 )
How do you validate the results of microRNA array, e.g. Taqman microRNA array and traditional microRNA array?? For example, to validate by real-time PCR, do I need to use at least two different batches of samples in duplicates or triplicates? or I use the sample for microRNA array to perform real-time PCR in parallel to do the real-time PCR for three times in duplicates or triplicates? Thanks a lot!!!

I use taqman single assays to validate my data, duplicates are more than enough usually.
losing a good part of your promising results is something you must expect but try the educated guess method to avoid losing interesting mirnas.
