how much volume of blood i need for ELISA - sample volume needed for ELISA (Nov/24/2008 )
Usually how much serum/plasma sample needed to run for duplicate measurement in ELISA?
If i collect 5 ml whole blood, how much serum/plasma i will get? Is it 200 ul serum/plasma is enough for running duplicate measurement of ELISA?
Thanks

5 ml will give a couple of ml, depending on the haematocrit (normal range 40-50 for males, 36-46 for females. 200ul will be plenty. In fact, for many analytes, you'll have to dilute 1 in 20 or more.
