antibody against His-tagged protein - (Nov/19/2008 )

Hi everyone!
I would like to produce antibodies using His-tagged protein. But I worry about the production of antibodies against His-tag. I hear that it is possible to produce antibodies against His-tag.
Does anyone know references that describe about that. Thank you!

If such antibodies are going to be a problem, you can use a vector that allows you to cleave the his-tag off the fusion protein after you isolate it...

you can preadsorb the (polyclonal) antibody with poly-his (immobilized) before using it.
