romanowsky staining - (Nov/17/2008 )

Hi can anyone explain how romanowsky staining works? - more importantly what colour do the different cell components stain? There seems to be alot of abiquity about this and it would really help me to know this.

Also does anyone know what Auer rods look like and what colour they stain with Romanowsky?
