help with mechanism - (Nov/12/2008 )

Iam treating my cancer cells with a compound which causes the cells to round up and detach within 1hr after treatment . but the cells reattach later witihin 24hrs and grow even though the cell morphology is still distorted . Can someone can give any mechanistic insights on this. What are the proteins that i should be looking at ?

What is the compound? What do you think might be some of the proteins involved? I would perhaps look at some of the stress response proteins.
