Storage of samples for phosphorilated proteins - (Nov/12/2008 )
Dear all
I need to do some western analyses to detect phosphorilated proteins. I did that in the past, but I treated and ran the samples readily, but this time, since the western apparatus and some reagents need still to be ordered (new lab) I will have some valuable experimental samples (since it takes 3 months to get them afetr surgery), but I am not sure if I will be able to run the gel.
Is it possible to store the extract and not lose the phosphorilated proteins? How should I store it?
For reference, it is extract of rat heart.
Thank you all!!

you may use PBS with protease and phosphatase inhibitor cocktail; shock freezing is necessary
