Do you always use compression pad with your optical plate when doing qPCR?
We haven´t use and now we are wondering how this has affected to our results. We are using ABI7000 and sybergreen...

Never used that.
I don't think it's necessary if you have good adhesive film and no problems with leaking.

AFAIK you would find out if that affected your results, the replicates would have high variability,

Yes we use abi´s own addhesive film.
