cytosolic b-catenin expression - (Oct/13/2008 )

Hi,

Can anyone offer me assistance on how I can check for the expression of cytosolic b-catenin? Both at the gene and protein level.

Also, after I harvest cells from tissue culture, I spin them down, wash and treat them with Trizol for RNA extraction followed by cDNA synthesis. If I check for the expression using this cDNA, I'll be checking the nuclear b-catenin expression is it or total b-catenin expression? I thik it would be teh total b-catenin expression?

And for protein, if you have a way of purifying the protein then u could use various protein quantification method.
u could also generate antibody and do ELISA perhaps?

What I've done so far is checked the tolat b-catenin gene expression. But I'd like to know what technique is there to help me study only the cytosolic b catenin expression and not total?
