DNAse inhibitors - (Oct/13/2008 )
Hi,
I am incubating some cell extracts with plasmid DNA but shortly after I mix the DNA with the extract, it gets degraded very quickly. I've tried adding up to 100mM EDTA to inhibit the DNAse activity but it does not decrease it.
Does anyone know of any other DNAse inhibitor that might protect the DNA from degradation?
Thanks

stuff that inhibit DNAase could also inhibit other protein. Why would you want to do such incubation in the beginning?
There are commerically availble reagent to get rid of Dnase but i am not sure whether it might affect other non-DNAse related proteins or not.
