Dilutions - Dilutions (Oct/10/2008 )

Hello all,

I perform a dilution that resulted in a 1250x dilution.

Lets say [Cu] in this resulting 1250x dilution is 0.5553 ppm.

I want to know how I can figure out the [Cu
] in the original solution.

I think its :

[Zn] in original sol = [Zn] in 1250x dilution * Dilution factor

Any help/suggestions will be helpful

Thank you all in advance

Presuming that you mean [Cu] not [Zn] in the equation you posted, then you are correct.
