Do we have fluorescence genes? - genes which code for fluoscent proteins (Oct/08/2008 )

Pages: Previous 1 2

Actually in 2004 a paper appeared in J Clin Endocrinol Metab, claiming the identification and characterization of a novel luciferase-like protein in the human female reproductive tract. (search in Pubmed this ID: 15531550). Of course, no bioluminescence activity was reporter, only a AMP-binding activity.

Usually, I chronicle new advances about reporter genes like luciferase and GFP at my blog: http://www.reportergene.com
the site needs some online coverage, please help me spreading the Verb!

why don't you post this info (and, maybe, a short description) in the "lab home pages and life science websites" forum?
