Cell Adherence - (Sep/18/2008 )

Hello All! I am in desperate need of help! We are culturing myoblasts and just discovered that apparently Collagen Type I does not adhere to glass coverslips very well inhibiting myoblast fusion. We have tried using plastic coverslips but because we are using fluorescence, the background caused a hazy appearance. Does anyone have any recommendations as to another substrate or matrix we might try? Thanks for any and all help!

coat the glass coverslips with poly-L-lysine
