Beta galactosidase labbeling - (Aug/21/2008 )

Hi,
I have to do some labelling of beta galactosidase on tissue slides. The aim is to study senescence in vivo. Do you have some good protocol since I think this technic is a little bit difficult. The pH of solutions is very important I think.
Thanks a lot for your answers... wink.gif

did you mean beta-Gal staining? just follow teh protocol. No major problem other than background development if incubated for too long.

Yes, I mean beta Gal staining. Thanks for your information. Where can I find Teh protocol ?

There are many methods online. They are basically the same. I would avoid developing the staining in a CO2 incubator, as acidic pH will cause build-up of non-specific stains.
