I am confused of these three terms.i.e, Putative gene, transcript, and CDS? What is diffreent among them?

Hi!
A putative gene is a gene whose function has been surmised from studies on similar organisms or strains.
Transcript is the mRNA sequence of a gene and CDS is the gene sequence which codes for the transcript.
