FITC Labelling - (Aug/07/2008 )

Hello Guys,

I would like to stain thymocytes with FITC before injected them intrathymically. do you have any protocol for such labelling? i would like to avoid CFSE staining due to high proliferation in the thymus.

why label at all? use congenic mice and isolate thymocytes that express Thy1.2 and inject them into Thy1.1 hosts. you can track these populations for however long you want.

this process would elminate the trouble of finding the correct concentration and dilution of the dye due to death or proliferation.
